At the very least she should be fired and never allowed to work as a reporter again. She clearly cannot overcome her severe political bias to be a true moderator. She has done a disservice to the American public and the Republic as a whole.

Because of her severe hatred for Conservatives and American individualism she turned what should have been a debate into a 90 minute commercial for the Obama reelection campaign. She has all but assured the downfall of this Republic. There is “blood” on Candy Crowley’s hands and she should be held accountable.
Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18186053414945170088noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-29683102385866330312012-10-11T10:04:00.000-05:002012-10-11T10:17:10.090-05:00Scary October for votersFour more years of Obama? Now let’s be honest. The Olympics have always been liberal. Last night’s ceremony was just an over-the-top reminder of that.

One of the big political snafus of the night was the refusal of the Olympic committee to allow a moment of silence to remember the Israeli athletes who were massacred at the Munich Olympics in 1972. This would have been the fortieth anniversary. However, the organizers did have a moment of silence for the London civilians who were killed by suicide bombers in 2005 on the day after London won the Olympics for this year. Since Munich the Olympic organizers have refused repeated requests to honor the Israeli athletes. Anybody with half a brain can tell you that the only reason if the international community’s antipathy toward Israel. Let’s face it, there will never be an Olympic venue in Tel Aviv.

The rest of the ceremony was a showcase of the “wonderful” world of British socialism. The workers that built the stadium lined the entrance so that all of the athletes could gaze upon them as they entered the stadium. I’m sure this was the highlight of their Olympic experience. Winning medals will now pale in comparison. Never mind the fact that those workers were paid for building the stadium. It was their job. Why do lefties feel the need to constantly slap people on the back for simply doing the job that they were hired to do?

For some reason the director of the opening ceremonies, Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame, felt it was necessary to fill the stadium floor with giant sick beds and nurses. I guess they were expecting the thousands of people in the audience to suddenly vomit violently at the leftist drivel that was being forced upon them. I certainly felt ill. I felt the nausea one feels when they learn that they are being told that they are a bad person because they believe in a free market. I felt the pain in my posterior that I feel when someone tells me that the government is what makes a country great. And I felt the massive stroke-like headache that occurs when you are told that you didn’t do anything on your own and that the government is your salvation.

And that was nothing compared to the seething rage I felt at the sight of the first lady of these United States standing in the VIP section. She wore nothing to differentiate her from the VIPs from other countries, yet the wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, was decked out in red, white, and blue. A small matter maybe. But there is still the photo of Michelle Obama’s insignificant other refusing to salute the United States’ flag during the national anthem.

Finally there were the famous Chinese threads that the American athletes were wearing. God save us from liberals and the “job making” plans that they constantly try to foist upon the American people. Yes jobs were created, in China.

The only good things about the ceremony were the American athletes themselves and the cauldron that will bear the Olympic flame during the course of the games. It was beautiful. At least there was some bright spots (pun intended).
Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18186053414945170088noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-40117345111389776122011-11-14T14:20:00.006-06:002011-11-14T14:40:55.616-06:00The Reason America is Sinking
Change.org recently sent out an email petition about Target store and making their employees work on Thanksgiving. Apparently the man that started the petition feels that it is unfair to make people work on Thanksgiving.

Now remember that Thanksgiving has not always been a holiday and that before (and after) it was, people worked on the last Thursday in November. Also remember that many of the people who are off on Thanksgiving don’t spend so much time with their families. They sit in front of the boob tube watching football and endless reruns of Elf and Home Alone. They vegetate as the booze that they have consumed slowly sends them to sleepy time. And then the very same people that complain about working on a holiday will be the first ones up at midnight heading to the stores to take advantage of all the Black Friday sales. They apparently only think that they themselves should be off.

Now if you read the email below you will see that the sad sack that created the petition would not have to report for work until the holiday itself is over. When I was a security guard there were many years when I had to work Thanksgiving day and the day after, as well as Christmas and New Year’s and Independence Day and Arbor Day. This petition is a prime example of the problem with America. It’s not just the politicians; it’s the people that voted for them.

There are so many people out there who cannot find work and wouldn’t mind working on Thanksgiving if it meant that they could feed their families the rest of the year. But then there are the “Occupiers” in this country, the union drones, then “Changers”. Oh they are changing America alright: for the worse.

I have included the email in its entirety below:

While most of America will be sleeping off a belly full of turkey, stuffing, and pie next Thursday night, 29-year-old Anthony Hardwick will be waking up for a long night of work. That's because Anthony has to report for his shift at a Target store in Omaha, Nebraska on Thanksgiving night.

For the first time on "Black Friday" -- the biggest shopping day of the year -- Target stores will be opening at midnight. That means retail employees like Anthony have to miss Thanksgiving celebrations with their families in order to work for big stores' "Black Friday" midnight sales -- or risk losing their jobs.

"All Americans should be able to break bread with loved ones on Thanksgiving," Anthony says.

So Anthony decided to push back. He started a petition on Change.org asking Target to open stores at 5am instead of midnight on Black Friday. Click here to add your name to his petition.

The sad reality is that by starting a petition to his employer on Change.org, he is putting his livelihood at risk. Anthony knows that he could be fired for taking his demand of Target public -- but that's how important it is to him that he spend Thanksgiving with his fiancee and her family.

Anthony isn't alone in thinking that midnight (or earlier) start times for retail stores on Black Friday is are bad ideas -- customers hate it, too. In fact, according to an article in the New York Times that featured Anthony's petition, more and more consumers are avoiding Black Friday sales that interrupt Thanksgiving meals. And by being the first to petition his employer about this issue, he hopes to inspire workers at other retail stores to also speak out.

Target is one of the most prominent companies forcing its employees to miss Thanksgiving with their families. Anthony hopes that by calling out Target, he can force his employer to push back opening times at Target stores across the country -- which will pressure other retail chains to do the same.

Please add your name to Anthony's petition asking Target to push back its Black Friday opening time so he and other Target employees can spend Thanksgiving with their families:

http://www.change.org/petitions/target-corporation-push-back-the-opening-of-target-retail-stores-on-black-friday-to-5am?utm_medium=email&utm_source=action_alert&alert_id=wwRUiEkOTz_YEhNRjvzmv

Personal addendum: This guy is an ass.
Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-28409165340571791792011-10-17T18:36:00.001-05:002011-10-17T18:36:03.087-05:00The real problem with the healthcare system
If Congress is really interested in solving the healthcare crisis in this country they would stopped medical “scalping”. Recently on NBC Nightly News there was a report on third party companies that set themselves up as middlemen in the medical supplies game. They showed a cancer drug that the manufacturer charges $12.00 a vial for, that had been marked up by medical scalpers to over $900.00.

This is one of the many reasons that healthcare is so expensive in this country. There apparently are no regulations preventing this type of profiteering. Hospitals and other service providers routinely double-(or even triple)bill for services received. Or they charge for services that were not rendered. This is especially true in the cases of people who have insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. These service providers feel that if someone else is paying then no harm no foul. Most people with insurance don’t read the itemized bill to insure that they are being charged properly. They have insurance so the big companies will foot the bill. This of course drives up premiums for the rest of their customers.

When Congress passed Obamacare they did little if anything to stop these insane and immoral practices. Instead they simply tried to force everyone to drop their drawers and take it, spreading the same costs around. The problem with this mentality is that because it does nothing to address the underlying one of the causes of spiraling healthcare costs, medical scalping, it will only exacerbate the situation. Instead they passed a bill that will most likely be found unconstitutional. However we have laws against scalping and price gouging and they have NOT been found to be unconstitutional.

This lack of intelligence in lawmaking shows that the healthcare bill was really about vote buying and control of the American public. Both major parties receive campaign contributions from some of the companies and they certainly are not going to endanger their revenue streams by actually making good law.

We need a new Congress that’s smart enough and morally strong enough to say no, and yes when absolutely necessary.
Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-50352323652553122132011-02-21T20:52:00.002-06:002011-02-21T20:57:05.917-06:00Test of Windows Live Writer
I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 and Windows Live. After Judge Martin Feldman issued an order that lifted the administration's insane moratorium on offshore drilling, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar said that he would issue a "reworded" order to ban drilling for a six month period of time.

Not only has the president wasted nearly two months golfing while oil spilled from a single oil rig, he makes the mistake of killing off more jobs by closing down all of the other deep water rigs. The judge compared this to grounding every airplane because one crashes.

Or maybe it wasn't a mistake. Considering how capricious this order was and the fact that the president is willing to violate a legal order from a federal judge just to get his way it seems like he may be deliberately allowing this situation to continue for his own political reasons. Especially since this is mostly the government's fault to begin with. Certainly the oil companies are no saints, but the government has been lax in its oversight. Now it suddenly wants to take the reins and do so in the most asinine and over reactive way possible? Something smells and it's not just the crude oil some forty miles south of where I am writing this.

The Dems have argued that this is all Bush's fault for lack of oversight. Again the liberal's favorite boogeyman rears his head. However, Obama has been in office over a year and a half, and the Dems have controlled both houses of congress since 2006, and they have failed to do any better than they claim the Republicans did.

So far, outside of the inane ban on drilling, what has been the administration's big answer to the problem? They renamed the Minerals Management Service, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement. These idiots are so inefficient they went from a three word name to a six word name. That's double the amount of paper that would be required to print letterheads and business cards with the moniker. Oh the poor trees.

How about this for the new name: Bureau of Nonsensical Energy Regulation, or BONER for short.

SOURCES:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-06-22/u-s-deepwater-oil-drilling-ban-lifted-today-by-new-orleans-federal-judge.html

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jun/22/judge-halts-obamas-oil-drilling-ban

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9GGL7R06&show_article=1
Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-85575403176985951542010-06-06T09:00:00.002-05:002010-06-06T09:07:36.142-05:00Helen Thomas: The Anti-Zionist Troll
Helen Thomas, what some have called the Grand Dame of the White House press corps, put her gnarled foot in her mouth. Over the weekend the president darn-near snapped his spine while bowing to the Japanese emperor.

The article, cited below, tries to equivocate the gesture with other presidents trying to appear culturally sensitive. However, never has a sitting U.S. president ever bowed as low to another foreign leader as Obama did. The article also uses the standard foreign service protocols from the State Department for department officials as either a justification or an excuse for the back breaker that B.O. pulled. However, those protocols are for foreign service personnel, including ambassadors, not for the President of the United States of America.

What makes the bow even worse is that Dems are applauding it as a friendly gesture, respecting the culture of an ally nation. However, when George W. Bush held hands with the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah--which according to the AP is a traditional sign of friendship in the Middle East--liberals were positively apoplectic that the president would do such a thing. In fact, those bastions of "gay rights" even went so far as to make gay jokes about the gesture. But of course the Left is nothing if not hypocritical. And just so we are clear Obama did another bow to the Saudi king earlier this year.

But maybe it's inevitable that POTUS would eventually have to bow to other heads-of-state. We owe so much money to other countries that we have effectively been neutered as international power. This of course is not solely the fault of the Dems. The Republicans have a lot to answer for as well. And as long as so many Americans see it as their right to take money away from the people who earned it to give to themselves, by force of government, then our debt will continue to increase. It will not be long before we'll all be bowing before foreign masters.

SOURCE: Associated Press articleRonald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-56121573075094023722009-11-04T11:12:00.005-06:002009-11-04T11:36:02.849-06:00The tea's a brewin'The tea's a brewin' and the Dems are about to get scalded.

Last night Americans showed President Obama and the Dems in congress just how fed up they are with their tax and spend policies. New Jersey, chafing under the heavy property taxes of John Corzine's administration, decided that they had had enough. Out with the Goldman-Sachs, in with the fiscally conservative.

Conservatives scored big in Virginia as well. They swept the top spots in the races there. And while these two races were only a blip on the map compared to next year's midterms, hopefully Conservatives will be able to build on the momentum from here on out.

Now you have may have noticed that I said Conservatives and not Republicans. Even though the winners in these races had an "R" at the end of their name, the loss in New York's 23rd Congressional District points out that it' not about party affiliation, it's about Conservatism. If there had been a primary instead of a back room appointment then I truly believe that Conservtive candidate Doug Hoffman would have won without any problems. However, the Republican old guard appointed Dierdre Scozzafava to run as the Republican on the ticket and most of the 23rd's Conservatives rebelled. When she realized she could not win, she showed her true colors and dropped out at the last minute putting her support behind the Democrat candidate, Bill Owens.

Obama and the Dems should not look at the New York election as a win. They should see it as a wake up call that Conservatives have their number and that next year may be a major turning point.Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-53791078199497440492009-11-04T11:07:00.001-06:002009-11-04T11:08:52.106-06:00Playing catch upIt's been a while since I last updated the blog, but I have been very busy with work so I've been a lazy blogger.

Anywho I'm back hopefully.Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-53345117159729197532009-06-27T18:44:00.005-05:002009-06-27T19:53:43.770-05:00California is the nation's future under the DemocratsIf you want to know what the nation's economy will look like a few years down the road, all you have to do is look at California. California is the world's 8th largest economy and it is tottering on the edge of oblivion.

Now of course the left wing blame Reagan's tenure as governor and Conservatives in general. They like to point to 1978's Proposition 13 as the beginning of the downfall. But there's a lot more to it than that, as Time's Kevin O'Leary points out in his left-leaning article.

Prop 13 itself simply made it harder for California's traditionally liberal politicians to raise taxes. It requires a two-thirds majority vote for taxes to be raised. And even liberal taxpayers hate to have their taxes raised as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the legislature found out recently when their tax-laden ballot measure failed miserably. However, there is a liberal failing here--or multiple in this case--as well.

Californians love things for "free". They love water to be shipped across the desert for them and they love the freeways (although you wouldn't know it from their griping about gridlock). They love having large state grants for college students. These are liberal policies that over the years have added to a tax burden in the most populace state in the Union. And most of them have actually made the environment worse.

Californians also love direct democracy, like all Democrats, hence the name. The nation's founders knew that a direct democracy would eventually ruin the country. That's why they created a constitutional republic, with a constitution to restrict the powers of government and a representative legislature to restrict the damage that a runaway democracy would cause. It was all about checks and balances. Californians chose a direct democracy with a government that restricts freedoms instead. Talk about bass-ackwards.

One of the things that Californians are most proud of is that they are the harbingers of "change" (there's that word again) for the rest of the country. Just look at environmental legislation and make-work projects, all at the taxpayers' expense. Their senators and representatives are some of the most powerful members of congress, like Henry Waxman, coauthor of the Cap and Trade bill that just passed with nobody reading it. And then there is Nancy Pelosi who rammed through the same Cap and Trade bill so that she could go on vacation. Now they want to bring their form of liberal government to the rest of us and they have the numbers on their side in congress.

As I said in a previous post: Abandon all hope ye who live here.

SOURCE: Time articleRonald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-33547527757903283962009-06-26T16:13:00.004-05:002009-06-26T16:44:48.740-05:00Your new taxObama was elected partially on the promise that he would give the middle class a tax cut. What he didn't tell you was that the tax cut would be necessary just so you can make ends meet after the liberals in congress pass the "Cap and Trade" tax.

On the surface the C&T will not directly affect individuals. It is only a tax on businesses that produce greenhouse gases. However businesses cannot stay in business if their costs go up but profits don't. So naturally they will pass their new expenses on to you. So if you voted for Obama, thanks loads.

To paraphrase Dante, "Abandon all hope ye who live here".Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-49480247210744863972009-06-25T04:55:00.005-05:002009-06-25T05:16:53.354-05:00Neda: The face of Liberty crying out (new image)
The face of Liberty crying out: Neda.Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1192085631770207594.post-40477981042755036822009-06-24T01:28:00.003-05:002009-06-24T01:49:30.534-05:00Absence makes the heart grow fonderI have been away for a while due to preparing for my new job. Let me be clear, I am not enraged about the murder. I am saddened that a life was taken. However, I am enraged that the Left in this country has used this incident and hypocritical rhetoric to blast everyone who calls themselves Christian or Conservative.

It doesn't surprise me that the Left would use this tragedy to stoke the flames of hatred against Christians and Conservatives and it doesn't surprise me that they would use hypocrisy to drill their message into the gullible American people. I mean their president did the same before, during and after his campaign. I mean he's the one that told everyone to just chill out over the abortion debate at Notre Dame. However, now his lackeys on the Left are decrying God-fearing Americans as terrorists and hate mongers. There was one abortionist on Anderson Cooper's 360 that said that all Prolife Christians rejoiced when Tiller was killed and that we got exactly what we wanted. Even when Cooper tried to help him modify his statement to say that maybe he didn't mean all Christians since many had come out against the killing, the monster sat there and said that that was a lie. That all Prolifers are for killing abortion providers.

The Left has declared war on free speech and Conservatives and Christians. Today will be remmebered as one of the first salvos in the war agianst the Right. It may only be rhetorical terror now, but how soon will it be before the Left begin using violence against us? And how long will we be able to survive as a nation under the onslaught of thost that hate us?

It is my opinion that America will not be safe until the Left in this country is marginalized to the point of nonexistence.Ronald Lanham Jrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13002818071123032472noreply@blogger.com0
